L.A Autentica
Anthony Davis created some buzz last month when he celebrated his team’s first NBA title in a decade at L.A Autentica.
Join Lakers fans and visit L.A Autentica in North Hollywood if you’re in the mood for crispy tortillas, filling meat, and flavorful broth (for dipping the tacos).
The friendly owner, Jaime Arana, is known for his authentic Michoacán-style birria tacos. The hype is real.
Arrive early to avoid lines. There is plenty of parking, as well as picnic tables nearby; birria tacos are best eaten fresh.
What is your favorite food truck experience?
Ok, now you’ve done it!!!! Tacos!!!!! We have some great taco trucks in New York, but now I want to make a trek to LA to try LA Autentica. There is a food truck in NYC called “The World’s Greatest Sandwich”. I love how they build the brand at every turn…in fact, when they hand you the change after paying they say, and “here’s the world’s greatest five dollar bill!” And yes, their sandwiches are off the hook good!
That’s so fun, how they lean into their “world’s greatest” brand like that. I’m enjoying swapping stories and recommendations from coast to coast with you. Cheers to amazing tacos and sandwiches; I look forward to trying your favorite spots in NYC.
Thank you for this! I’ve tried several different taco spots throughout the city, but never came across one that served birria tacos before. In fact, I didn’t know it was a thing before your post. It looks delicious in your photo. I actually got really hungry after reading this haha 🙂
