Handcrafted Quality
Take a break from the fast pace of downtown L.A. by stepping into the cool shade of L.A.’s Bread Lounge, catching the soothing scent of fresh-baked bread.
With an unassuming style to match the simple natural ingredients (yeast, water, flour, salt), visit Bread Lounge to taste the time, attention, and love in every loaf.
This authentic local favorite started as a wholesale bakery in 2010. Today, Bread Lounge is a perfect stop for fresh morning pastries and coffee or a quick outdoor lunch in the shade. Bring home a loaf of naturally-leavened bread, such as the fig and walnut.
Since this is California, naturally, gluten-free and vegan options are available.
You had me at bread. As a chef, I had the opportunity to take a few baking courses at my culinary school. I love it, minus the hours. Bakers go in to work at 3:30 a.m. typically, but get done with the day much sooner.
If ever I am in that neighborhood, I will most will have to stop in.
What was your favorite bread there?
Hi Julie! The fig and walnut bread is delicious; I also love getting a Chocolate Rugelach (or two) every time I’m in the area. What’s your favorite thing to cook or bake?
